Frequently Asked Questions
Can I enter more than one team?
Afraid not, we need to give everyone a fair chance of winning, you can however enter a team in more than one JustRugby competition.
How many players can I have in my team and is there a limit on the number of players per position?
Each team must consist of 30 player made up of the following positions:
- 4 Props
- 2 Hookers
- 10 Other Forwards
- 4 Halfbacks
- 4 Centers
- 6 Outside backs
Is there any restriction on which player positions I can use to make up my Starting XV?
The 15 players in your Starting XV must consist of the same number of players in each position as would play in a regular rugby match.
Peter Grant is listed as a halfback! I want him to be a centre in my squad! What can I do?
Not a lot. We have allocated a single position to each player, based on where we feel he will play most often during the course of the season. The player will be scored according to his official position as per the Player List, regardless of his position on the field at the time.
Ten trades for a whole season? That’s nowhere near enough!
The JustRugby Fantasy League competition is all about picking a strong squad upfront and then seeing how they do over the course of the season. This game is not about trying to predict which players will score the most points for a particular round – rather about which players will produce the most consistent performances over the course of 21 rounds. The trades are essentially a freebie, allowing you to replace a player who is a long-term injury casualty or who gets dropped from the Super Rugby squad entirely. If you’re really bright, you’ll probably save them for the knockout rounds…
Does my team captain need to be in my starting XV?
No. He does not. You can work out the maths for yourself as to whether you should include him or not…
What happens if I accidentally include too many players in one position?
The software automatically limits you to only selecting the correct amount of players for each position in both your squad and your Starting XV.
I have accidentally chosen a player in my squad before the start of Round 1 How can I rectify this mistake?
Once you have all 30 players in your squad, you will be able to trade any that you feel you no longer want or chose by mistake. Any trades made before the Start of Round 1 will NOT cost you anything. After that you will only be able to make 10 trades for the season.
